the room was pretty much spot on, clean and quite spacious. the bed was comfy, despite being 2 singles pushed together. the staff were friendly and helpful, really nice people. its a cozy little pub, loved the vibe. wedding music was loud but it stopped at a decent time.
the stairs to the room were cluttered and uninviting. checking in felt awkward with regulars staring at us.

great access to nature parks and local attractions without hassle
During our recent stay, we loved how close we were to Upton Country Park, which made for a lovely stroll right before breakfast. plus, the staff were super welcoming and our spacious room was perfect after a long drive through Scotland.

Had a fantastic one-night getaway here! The room was super clean and cozy, and I loved chilling with a pint from their great local ales while enjoying a delicious meal. Just a heads-up, the stairs could use a bit of tidying up, but overall, it was a lovely place to relax! 🍻

The room was spacious and clean, offering a comfortable sleep quality. the check-in process felt awkward with regulars at the bar staring, and the clutter on the stairs was off-putting. A wedding was taking place during our stay, leading to loud music that ended around 11pm, which was a minor inconvenience. For the £75 paid, expectations were higher considering the disarray in common areas.

It was just a good pick for a quick layover in Pontefract with good value. The steak meal for two was excellent and very affordable at just £25. Make sure to check the menu for daily specials.

Had a fantastic stay at the Upton Arms Hotel! The Double Room was spacious, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfy. The hot shower and tea/coffee making facilities were a nice touch. The friendly atmosphere in the pub made for a great evening, especially enjoying some local ales with the welcoming locals.
Check-in felt a bit awkward due to crowd.

Had a comfortable stay in a clean and spacious Double Room. The staff were very welcoming, which made everything pleasant. Noticed the outside area could use some cleaning up, especially around the fire escape. Enjoyed the live music and bingo nights. Would consider staying if in the area again.

Great carvery for a hungry family
Had a fantastic time at this spot for Sunday lunch. The carvery was really excellent, with generous portions and a choice of meats that made it feel like a real feast.
Not exactly a steal, but decent enough for what we got.

Comfortable Stay with Great Food
I had a lovely one-night stay in a spacious Double Room with Private Bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the room itself was clean and inviting. The pub served delicious food with a variety of options, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. One thing that could be improved is the check-in process, which felt a bit awkward with some regulars watching.
